The highest service ever rendered by the Guard Cavalry was by Gen. Lepic in a blinding snowstorm at Eylau. This magnificent bronze sculpture depicts Lepic as he and his cavalry are under Russian cannon fire and he shouts, “Heads up! By God those are grapeshot, not turds!”
